Wow! How? Make, test, explore, and explode with excitement at our annual bonanza of experiments and hands-on fun. Over 100 enthusiastic volunteer scientists will be showing off over 30 different demonstrations and activities. Among other things, you will be able to try enclosing yourself in a giant bubble, explore earthquakes, volcanoes and tornadoes in the Disaster Zone, extract DNA from fruit, search the airwaves and make contact around the world using radio technology, send messages with Morse Code, and follow your nose with a Smell Quest. Recommended for ages 8+.

This is a fun event for all the family and this is the second year running that the Oxford & District Amateur Radio Society have been invited to put on a special event amateur radio station this year the invitation included permission to put the club tower on the front lawn of the museum and to operate from the ODARS cook tent placed on the lawn – I had planned to be at the museum however this was not to be so. However I was delighted to be able to work the special event station GB4WOW on 20m cw and SSB on 20m and 15m.
